Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how InPlaay Inc. collects, uses, and protects information across the InPlaay platform and the InPlaay Recruiting Assistant Chrome Extension.
1. Overview & Commitment
InPlaay Inc. ("InPlaay", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users, customers, and the candidates whose data flows through our platform. This Privacy Policy applies to the InPlaay web platform (the "Platform") and the InPlaay Recruiting Assistant Chrome Extension (the "Extension"), and describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Platform or the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. InPlaay Recruiting Assistant (Chrome Extension) Data Disclosures
The following disclosures apply specifically to the InPlaay Recruiting Assistant Chrome Extension, in compliance with Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.
Single Purpose
The Extension has a single, narrow purpose: assisting recruiters in drafting personalized LinkedIn outreach messages generated by InPlaay. It does not perform any function unrelated to this purpose.
No Data Selling
InPlaay does not sell, rent, or monetize user data, browsing activity, or LinkedIn profile data collected through the Extension, under any circumstances.
Local Storage
The Extension's local browser storage is used strictly on the client side to temporarily hold outreach message text while a recruiter navigates between LinkedIn pages during the outreach workflow. This data is not transmitted to third parties and is cleared as part of normal Extension operation.
Permissions Justification
- Cookies: Used solely to maintain session authentication with the InPlaay Platform, so the Extension can verify that the logged-in recruiter is authorized to use it.
- Tabs: Used to detect navigation between LinkedIn profile pages so the Extension can correctly present the relevant outreach draft for the profile being viewed.
- Clipboard: Used to allow the recruiter to copy a generated outreach message so it can be pasted into LinkedIn's messaging interface.
3. Information We Collect on the InPlaay Platform
In connection with your use of the Platform, we may collect:
- Account Information: Name, email address, company, and login credentials used to create and manage your InPlaay account.
- Recruiter Job Search Criteria: Job requirements, target roles, locations, and sourcing preferences entered by recruiters to configure candidate searches.
- Candidate Profile Evaluations: Publicly available professional profile information and recruiter-generated evaluations or notes used to assess candidate fit for a given search.
4. Data Usage Rights & AI Model Improvement License
By uploading or submitting information to InPlaay — including job postings, candidate evaluations, resumes, and search parameters — you grant InPlaay a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, analyze, aggregate, and utilize such data to:
- Operate, deliver, and maintain the InPlaay platform and recruiting tools.
- Train, calibrate, and improve InPlaay's matching algorithms, AI evaluation models, and talent ranking engines.
- Generate aggregate, anonymized talent market insights and benchmark reports.
5. Candidate Applications, Interviews & Anonymization Protocols
This section explains how InPlaay handles candidate applications, interview activity, and related confidentiality protocols.
- Anonymized Competitive Insights: When candidates view competitive candidate pools (e.g., InPlaay Pro relative fit rankings), competing candidate identities are strictly anonymized (e.g., "Competitor #1", "Candidate A") — displaying relative qualification scores and skill strengths without exposing personally identifiable information (PII) to other candidates.
- Recruiter & Employer Authorized Access: Hiring organizations and authorized recruiters have full visibility into candidate profiles, resumes, application history, evaluations, and interview notes for their specific searches.
- Confidential Opportunity Outreach: InPlaay outreach protects employer confidentiality during initial sourcing stages until mutual interest is established.
- Interview Telemetry & Real-Time Status: Interview activity generates pipeline notifications and stage transitions (e.g., "Interview Scheduled", "Offer Extended") visible strictly to authorized search participants.
Employer & Hiring Company Name Anonymization Guarantee
Hiring organizations and employers who source through InPlaay enjoy complete organizational confidentiality: the identity of the hiring company is never exposed to candidates or third parties without authorization.
- Redacted Company Names: The hiring company's name, brand identity, and corporate specifics are strictly anonymized and redacted by default across all candidate-facing portals, candidate dashboards, InPlaay Pro competitive pool views, and initial outreach messages.
- Role-Only Opportunity Descriptors: Candidates see only high-level opportunity descriptions, technical parameters, and location (e.g., "Precision Manufacturer in Cambridge" or "Automotive Component Leader") rather than the company's real identity until an interview stage or mutual consent is established.
- Competitive Intelligence Shield: Competitors and external parties cannot view which companies are actively sourcing, opening searches, or hiring in specific markets.
6. Data Security & Encryption
We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect information handled by the Platform and the Extension.
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is protected using TLS encryption.
- Secure Cloud Storage: Platform data is stored using Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure, which enforces access controls and encryption at rest.
7. User Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, consistent with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA.
- Right to Access & Export: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a portable format.
- Right to Deletion: You may request that we delete your account and associated personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements.
- Right to Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- How to Exercise Your Rights: Submit a request to support@inplaay.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
